finally, the last day is coming

Today was the last day of this semester...so sad...
I am very glad to have such nice classmates and teachers...Days in the Leap, especially in Leap 4A, have given me a great experience to practice English as well as to know cultures of other countries. I am gonna to miss everyone in the future... Hope we can get together frequently and share the university life with each other...or may be we will meet on the campus and chat for a while....I am so excited about having so many friends from different countries!~~

Wish everyone will do a great job after leave the LEAP.. and GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

P.S:
Today was also a sunny day... I can feel summer is coming! Everyone was wearing shorts and T-shirts. Everyone on the campus was like just back from Hawaii....

just a random blog

I am so nerious about the finals. I am afraid of nothing to write in the writing exam, not understanding the article in the reading exam, missing information in the listening exam and misunderstanding the question in the oral exam.... Oh, my god... what should I do to reduce my nerve? I am planning to do nothing on Sunday but just relax.... also I think I should stay at home and study to get well prepared. Any suggestions, guys? I am not confident....

Another aspect that makes me nervious about exams is "accidents". I mean there are often some small tribles annoying me whenever exams are there., like missing the bus, my watch stopped or forgot to bring pens before the exam, and missing questions, not following the instruction during the exam...... Luck never be with me....

P.S:
Today, Loreta, Leslie and I talked about our great plan visting Banff or somewhere else. Actually, Loreta had invited me to the "Dragon City"(Not the mall in Chiantown. I don't know the correct name) when we were in the Leap 3, but our trip got stucked because of the weather and exams.... BUT, very soon we will fulfill our plan~~can't wait....

Such a kinky weather

The weather in Calgary is sort of weird... I mean it's already April now...and it's snowing outside... My Mom called me yeaterday, and she said that Beijing is quite warm and sunny. Everything is turning into light green, and it's a comfortable spring month. When she asked me about the weather here, I said everything is white and Calgary has no spring....just long winter and short summer.
The temperature is going up and down every week... I remembered that on the first orientation day, an instructor said to us that if you donnt like the weather here, just wait for 5 minutes...A friend of mine, who has stayed in Calgary for couple of years, told me that donnt be tricked by the shining sun in the morning. You might experience summer in the morning and winter in the evening, or it also might snow when the sun is shuning brightly.....

Hope summer is coming soon..........

Do not eat fast food

What should I write about? I am no idea again....
Oh! I can talk about fast food!
Since I started to working in a fast food store, I have tried to tell my every friend that do not eat fast food. If you see the whole process of how a burger is made, you probably will hate fast food extremely. Almost everything is made under a quite high temperature, like frying fries, and cooking patties on a very hot grill. The process is very fast. Therefore you can see how unhealthy it is....Besides, employees in my store, they rarely eat what they made...

Everyone knows that fast food can cause heart diseases, but people still keep eating it. Some fast foods taste good, but really think abou your health. Are they worth enough to risk yourslef on having health problems in the future?

300

I suddenly realized that I only have 6 posts.... I must catch up with everyone...
Recently, the movie 300 is on the theater. All of my friends recommended it to me so I decided to see it yesterday. But I went the theater, I was shocked. You can not imagine how many people were there.... Whole bunch of people were waiting for entiring into the cinema, and another bunch of people were lining up waiting to buy tickets... When I finally decided to line up altough I have to wait for half hour, the ticket guy was shouting that the tickets were sold out....
And this morning, I was reading the newspaper"Metro", it was said that 300 is the No 1 movie in the American boxoffice for the total of 31.2M.. the second movie was about 18M....See.. It's really popular.....so how can I miss it?

Missing my home

I saw a movie yesterday named "Little Miss Sunshine". Maybe most people will say that is a comedy, but for me, it's a movie telling people the defination of family. Every member in the family must trust, support, love and help each other. A family is the most safe place that makes us relax. In the beginning of the movie, the adult characters seemed forget this point. They were stressed and didn't realize the importance of family. They only focused on money, job or their own life, but forgot to enjoy the time having dinner with family. The trip to California for the young girl's joining "Little Miss Sunshine"competition made the family aware of how many things and happy time they had missed with the family.
The movie reminds that when I was in China, I always hung out with my friends and rarely stayed at home. My parents never complained about that. A few days just before I left to Canada, I suddenly realized that I should spend more time with my parents because they will be missing me soooo much after I left... Now...I am in Canada alone. Altough I have my dear friends, I still miss the place where I can relax , where I am loved so deeply, which has the two people that I love soooooo much, which is called "Home"....

Reading week is over...

Reading week is over and mid-term is coming....
I had a lot of fun during the break. I went to snowboarding on Monday! It was extremely freezing...and bad day... I hit a kid when I was coming down form the top....I didn't know why....When I realized that there was a kid in front of me, I was so nerbous and couldn't stop my board..... I am so ashamed about her... My friend comforted me that it always happens when u snowboard... I still felt so sorry about her....
I saw a movie as well..."Ghost Rider"!! Nicolas Cage is so cooooooool in the movie~~ It is a excellent movie that should be commended to everyone~~
Oh! On Feb 16th was the eve of Chinese New Year.I went to watch a movie with my dear friends and then back to our apartment making dumplings and a lot of great food! It was so sad when I was calling my family...They miss me so much....so do I .....
17th was Jennifer's birthday. We went to the dragon city and had hot pot~ We had a lot of fun....I left ealier than others..I heard that they gave Jennifer a big surprise!!! They made so many balloons filling her dorm~~~

Mid-term is just right there at the corner...Hope everone will do well on exams!!

too much to say

I found it was a lot of fun to read other's blogs and comments! There are so many interesting things and anecdotes in other's blogs, like pets, hobbies, stories, music and sports etc. Someone also came up with their problems and questions. Also, I found some similarities with my dear classmates and teacher~~

Scott mentioned that skating is so interesting, but I think sownboard has so much fun far away than skating! It is so challenging and fast when u come down from the top! It's a kind of extreme sports, but very easy to learn, and quickly, u will be addictive in it...Whatever u r a girl or a boy, dont u think it is so cooooooool standing there holding a board beside u...... even u dont know how to snowboard......

Same with Jennifer..... I found myself busy sometimes because I have to work. I commended in her blog that I wish I can quit my job without caring anything and anyone....The chief reason is that everyone in our store is so nice, kind, and friendly....we help each other whenever who is in trouble...sometimes we went to watch movies, went shopping and snowboard together. My manager Thomas, he is helping me to find a new place to live now. Benson,my best friend in the store, always brought some food and movies to me. Betty, another manager, she is like my mom....oh....so much to say about them..... How could I quit, especially when our store is lack of employees right now.... I felt tired sometimes...but I am happy now.... I think I should study much harder to show that I can do well even though I have to work......

I love Betsy's two lovely dogs!!!! When I begged my mom to allow me to have a dog, she forced me to choose, live with the dog or her.....She had a horrible experience about dogs when she was young, so she is afraid of dogs.... WELL.... my mouth gave her the answer she wanted......BUT my heart... u know.....gave an evil answer.... =_=!! Never mind~ of course I love my mom so much~~~~~~~

Oh.....so many things to say about other's blogs.....when i read other's blogs, they really made me think, or recall something happened before.

Next Wednesday is Valentine's day which is meaningless to me...hope everyone who fits that day has a romantic night~~~

hello~~~

Loreta was reminding me everyday during this week to update my blog.....thanks, Loreta!!!

Another week is over!!
wow~~

Chinese Spring Festival is coming in 2 weeks!!!! It's on Feb 17th~~ What makes me more excited is that it is also Shelley's Birthday! She is one of my best friends, and we have been together for 3 years!!! I can't wait! ~~~My friends and I are still planning what we should do on that day...we will make dumplings, watch a movie, play "twister"(a funny game)~we will have a lot of fun for sure!!!

Last Satuday, I watched the movie "Smokin' Aces". I found this movie was a little bit hard for me to understand because they talk really fast...never mind, I still got the main idea of the movie~ It's an amazing and attractive movie! I recommend it to u guys~especially to boys!

oh...my god...I feel so stressed recently...I must find a new apartment...a lot of things to worry about.....Hope everything will be fine.....

By the way, I am really enjoying what we are studying now, "Mysteries"! I was attracted and impressed by the legends of Pyramids when I first read about them , BUT, I think it will be very difficult to write an essay about "mystery"...........

Hope that everyone is going to have a great week!!!
